About me
I spent a lot of time in online communities giving advice on hormones and workouts, but I never medically transitioned myself. I came to believe that what many call gender dysphoria is actually body dysmorphia, and that improving physical health is the real first step. I felt pushed out by the left for my views and found a better fit with libertarian ideas that focus on individual choice. I think if we treated underlying health and mental issues first, fewer people would rush into medical changes. Now, I focus on being comfortable in the body I have through natural health.
My detransition story
My whole journey with gender was complicated, and looking back, I think a lot of it was based on confusion rather than a true transgender identity. I never actually transitioned medically myself, but I spent a lot of time in online spaces where it was a major topic. I gave a lot of advice to others about hormones and workouts, but it was all from a place of observing and trying to understand.
I came to believe that for many people, what gets called gender dysphoria might actually be a form of body dysmorphia. I think a lot of young people, especially those who are gay, get confused and think transitioning is the answer when they just need time to understand their sexuality. I also saw how political the whole issue became, with the left and the right using trans people as pawns. I felt like detransitioners like me were ignored by the left because our stories didn't fit the narrative, which pushed us towards right-wing platforms even if we didn't fully agree with them. I ended up finding a better fit with libertarian ideas because they focus on non-aggression and individual choice.
My main focus was always on physical health as a foundation for mental health. I strongly believe that things like vitamin deficiencies, lack of exercise, poor sleep, and even exposure to plastics can mess with your hormones and how you feel about yourself. I recommended hard workouts, vitamin D, and clean eating to people struggling with their mental health, because sometimes fixing the body can help clear the mind. I never saw medical transition as a first resort; I always thought natural methods to balance hormones should be tried first.
I don't have regrets about a personal transition because I didn't go through one. But I do regret how simplistic and politicized the conversation around gender has become. I think if we focused more on treating underlying issues like depression, anxiety, and body dysmorphia, fewer people would rush into medical changes they might later regret. For me, gender is less about an internal identity and more about being comfortable in the body you have, and that comes from health.
Here is a timeline of my involvement and changing views:
Age | Event |
---|---|
26 | I was actively giving advice online about natural ways to boost testosterone and the importance of physical health for mental well-being. |
26 | I became disillusioned with the two-party system and expressed my view that both sides were using the trans debate for political gain. I aligned more with libertarian principles. |
26 | I developed the theory that what is often called gender dysphoria might be better treated as body dysmorphia, and I started focusing more on health-based solutions. |

The left was using us as political pawns in the first place. The whole idea behind making trans issues front and centre came from the left because after gay marriage there was no major social issue to deal with LGBT people to keep us supporting Dems. The right only followed suit it turns into a tit-for-tat. The right is right on this issue but if you really wanna be on the better side of history I recommend looking 3rd party. I found my home with the libertarian party, every person at libertarian conventions and events has been chill to me. One guy was giving out weed gummies (they were very strong like 1000mg). It doesn't have to be the libertarian people that you find you're home but IMHO fuck the 2 party system they both suck in their own ways.
TBH i have had a theory on this outside of social media but rather that alot of what people think is trans is a form not of gender dysmorphia but rather body dysmorphia. And I wonder if people treated it similar or the same if there would be better outcomes. But yea what you are talking about sounds like a case of munchausens.
Well, a few things a lot of the younger people who are more likely to transition at all are probably gay. and were confused leading them to realize w8 I'm just gay and not commit or be happy with the transition.
And progesterone can be affected by hormone changes something a lot of trans people do. and there are studies linking high levels of progesterone with homosexual activities and desires.
that's what I think
Alright, while this may not be what you want to hear, I will say it anyway. Let's start with the basics. because sometimes we can get overwhelmed with the big things when what we should focus on is the little things that build us up. Because you as well as everyone needs to have a solid foundation. To me this seems like a culmination of a lot of things and everyone is recommending great big things so I will focus on the little ones.
The easiest thing you can do is make sure you take supplements like Vitamin D. It has SEVERE effects on mental health when you are deficient in Vitamin D. I personally take 10k iu and I noticed a massive difference. If you are of African lineage it is IMPERATIVE you take Vitamin D. Most African Americans have a severe deficiency Hispanic people as well tend to have poor levels.
From there try to GTFO of the house go outside, get sun, go for a run or the gym. it is almost impossible to overstate just how much better you feel when you get moving and get your blood pumping. If you are worried about getting big from lifting just do cardio or lightweight. It may make that difference. If you want the scientific answer for why it has to do with endorphin levels as well as other hormones that really get moving once you are moving.
Lastly, I would look at Nutropic supplements like Galanin, Vasopressin, and neuropeptide Y, these all help your body produce things like dopamine, as well as serotonin. These are not like SSRIs think of them more like a signalling chain of amino acids that tell your body to do something. However, unlike a prescription drug or a hormone, your body will regulate naturally the response. To use an analogy at a certain point no matter how loud the drill sergeant yells the recruit can only run so fast. Think of the peptide like the sarge in this example. While these can be taken through injection I highly recommend avoiding doing so as needles are never safe. I recommend mixing it with saline and doing intranasal while less effective it doesn't involve injections. Keep in mind with peptides I would highly recommend doing your own research and talking to a doctor about this.
I hope this advice was helpful if its not feel free to trash-talk me but I would recommend looking into at the very least the Vitamin D as well as the gym.
If you want to make your breasts look perkier and have more cleavage pushups are ok but what you want to start doing is hypertrophic exercise targeting your chest. Also working out will not help you lose weight. That is basically all diet. If you want to lose fat cut your carbs to minimal amounts and increase protein intake while being in a cal deficit.
The workout for your chest should look like this:
5 by 5 progressive overload
incline benchpress
flat benchpress
Chest Flye (dumbbells)
dumbbell press
incline dumbell press.
When you fail do a drop set until failure.
mental health follows physical health in a great many ways. I would highly recommend going to the gym, doing some hard as fuck workouts and pushing yourself like that as a first step. Studies have shown that strenuous exercise has amazing effects on people's mental health (can link study if requested)
Second, take some vitamins, a daily multi is a good baseline id recommend 5000iu of vitamin D. Studies have shown vitamin D is psychoactive if you have a deficiency it can cause or contribute to depression. (can send that study as well) you can also try a sun lamp this is experimental but it wont hurt outside the 40$ ur risking.
Third, try cutting out the BS in your diet as well as your daily ingestion of plastics. Plastic containers and such contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals. This can contribute to depression, increase estrogen levels, decrease test levels and make u feel like dick. try to use glass, metal, and ceramic when possible.
fourth, Get some damn sleep. Make sure you have a fairly consistent schedule of sleep that you stick too. having trouble starting? take some melatonin its ovc and safe.
This won't and I do not claim that it will cure you or anything like that but it very well may help you feel better and be healthy in the long term. At worst it makes you physically healthier (oh no) at best well because ur physically healthier and more active you start to be more comfortable in yourself and happier overall.
>Left wing sources won’t touch us because the popular rhetoric now is that detrans peoples’ mere existence “HURTS TRANS PEOPLE!”. Many detransitioners have TRIED to get left wing news sources to cover us, but they just straight up won’t. We’re branded bigots simply for existing. WE are using the right to get our stories out, but unfortunately in turn that means we are used back. But there is no other choice right now. You are more than welcome to try to change that, but many have tried and failed. Perhaps you can be the one to break the cycle.
to an extent but you also have to realize the environment they exist in if they are labeled as such they could lose their livelihoods as their audience revolts and calls them right-wing. its not as cut and dry as they are bad people some def are but others are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
People are fucked check out the bodybuilding reddits or more plates more dates trans isn't the only fucked up thing at the moment I will link the channel I am mentioning below for ease.

There are other ways to boost your test levels without TRT and trt may be counter-productive for your long-term health. Think of your balls currently on vacation through chemical signals you said ok don't produce any more time to relax, TRT will keep them on vacation. long term that's not wat you want health wise. I, a 26yo male would recommend looking into PCT therapies often used by bodybuilders and such. Ashwagandha and Tongkat Ali are natural supplements shown to increase natural test production and that is what you want. Basically your balls are in hibernation mode they arent working based on your 0 test level at all. That is VERY VERY BAD. even cis women have some testosterone and as a fun fact it is the operative hormone in women. Maintaining a test level that low will have dire long-term consequences. If the Natural supplements do not work I would recommend using something like Chlomid to try to wake you're balls up to get them producing again. if the chlomid doesn't work then you have to be on TRT cuz now your balls are perma on vacation, at least as far as I know
Yes all of them affect dopamine and can make you feel better. Vitamin D doesn't however what it does do is affect sleep and help you sleep better by helping your body regulate. I will link the study below.
